The driving theory test has two parts - a question part and a hazard perception part, both of which you need to pass at the same time. In addition, you have to pass the theory test before you can apply for the practical driving test. The Croydon theory test centre is at 27 Park Street Croydon Surrey CR0 1YD
The first part of the theory test has 50 multiple choice questions on a touch screen computer. Some of the questions have more than one correct answer and if so you need to identify all the correct answers to score for that question. If you are unsure about a question you can flag it and go back to it later. The pass mark for the questions element of the test is 43 out of 50.
When you've completed the questions, there will be a short delay and then the Hazard perception test will start. The test consists of 14 clips of film on the computerAll together there are 15 "developing hazards" that you will need to identify. The sooner you identify these scoring hazards, the better your score for that clip. There is a maximum of 5 points per scoring hazard. You only need to click the mouse, not move the mouse cursor over the hazard. The pass mark for hazard perception is 44 out of 75.
